Winning in WON Equestrian: Ashley Adams

When it comes to the durability of Weather Or Not Equestrian's Stay Dry Breeches, no one puts them quite to the test like five-star event rider Ashley Adams.

Adams, an international athlete, coach, and hands-on horsewoman, can count on WON to perform through all three phases of her sport of choice, as well as in the barn as she works out of her Richmond, VA base. 

Ahead of the 2025 Kentucky Three-Day Event—in which Ashley competed with her Off-Track Thoroughbred, Vaunted in 2009—we caught up with Ashley to hear how she is winning in WON:

"I am constantly looking for breeches that can keep up with my crazy teaching, riding, and barn life schedule—not to mention ones that hold up to my “throw-everything-in-the-washer-all-together” style," Adams said. "These breeches give me exactly what I am looking for. They are super stretchy and easy to wear all day, be it at a show or the barn. They hold up to the wash, don't fade, and don't lose their grip. They are thin enough for the hot months but also easy to put layers under for the winter months: If you are looking for the pants that you can take from the show ring to the wash stall, these are the pants for you!

"I am beyond grateful to have WON Equestrian in my daily life," she added. "I wear these breeches daily! They provide excellent grip, class, and weather protection."

Do you consider them rain breeches or suited for all weather conditions?

I wear these breeches every day, no matter what the weather. They are super for rain, as they don't slip or rub your legs, and the waistband and fabric keep them from becoming baggy—and getting that awful sagginess. The speed at which they dry is incredible—even if you get caught in a downpour. The fabric is soft and stretchy and not hot or suffocating at all. They are super light and very comfortable!

What is your favorite feature or attribute of the WON breeches?
I love that they are stain-resistant! These breeches are made for the true horsewoman—the person that does it all with their horses.  They also have deep, stretchy pockets!

What’s your go-to color?
My go-to breech color is tan: They are sophisticated and ready for the show ring. But on a day-to-day basis, you will find me in my black WONS: These breeches are super easy to style with any jacket or sun shirt. They keep me looking chic and professional at work.
